The end of high school FOREVER isn’t far away, so now is the time that fresh-faced and hopeful youths contemplate their bright futures. As well as dying of stress over approaching exams. I thought I’d organise some thoughts of what I’ll do when it’s all over.

- Get a job

First things first, since I’m not going to uni, I have to get a job. I don’t care what it is, as long as it pays and I don’t have to handle food.

- Buy a new laptop

My current one is getting old and has started to be a poohead, so I think the time to get a replacement draws near. I want a Macbook Pro =D They’re sooo prettyyy~

- Go to America

Well, Mum and I have already decided on this anyway, our only problem is finding the time to go. I’ve never been outside of Australia, so I just really want the experience. I don’t really care about America itself, I just care that it’s not Australia! =D

- Go on a trip to Sydney

That is, unless my friends from Sydney come down here to see me =) But still, I kinda miss Sydney itself, so I’d like to visit again.

- Exercise every day

Because I’m fat and I don’t care how many times you assure me I’m not! For at least an hour every day I’m going to walk or run. Would be nice if I still lived near the lake, but oh well. And I’ll do lots of stretching too. I’m remarkably inflexible, so even lately I’ve started randomly stretching my legs. (I’m doing it right now) I’ll keep going until I can do the splits =P

- Do lots of painting

I never really get the chance to paint, but I like doing it. I’ll get myself a stack of canvases and go at it =P

- Buy new clothes every week

Because not having a lot of clothes sucks =( I don’t mean buy a whole outfit, just getting some items of clothing frequently. I don’t have much money of my own, so the thought of actually buying something whenever I want is like heaven ^^

- Be more social

Because I’m a lonesome soul.

- Save up for a trip to Japan

But… only if somebody comes with me =( Well I’m not going alone! I need someone to hold my hand! Baww!

- Learn to drive

I’m 18, going on 19, and I haven’t even got my learner’s license. Mostly as a result of all those disturbing “Drive safely” ads on TV and stuff, I’m scared to drive, but I’d at least like to learn.

- Make a cubist photomontage

Just google “David Hockney”.

Just look at that violin dude go! I love it, as soon as my laptop is fixed I’ll download this and put it on my ipod ^^ I just think electric violins are cool.

By the way, DJ Sisen is the one I once wanted to dance for, but that idea kinda died for a lot of reasons. Mainly because there’s no way I can compete with Countess Grotesque! Even though he’s pretty wild and out there, I have quite a liking for Sisen, particularly his style (while most of his ON-stage fashion is waaay too crazy for me , I like some aspects of it, like the dread falls and accessories)

I totally want to get some dread falls someday<3 Well, I’m planning to make some in the near future for my end of highschool celebration thing. (Haha, apparently we can’t call it muck up day) Our theme is pretty ambiguous; come as whatever you want! My idea isn’t really a set “thing”, but the closest I could come to describing it is – rainbow. ; )

Look what random song suddenly popped into my head!

Blur were quality music. This is one of the best film clips, like, ever. (Is anyone else slightly reminded of “A Clockwork Orange”?)

Is it just me, or is Damon Albarn particularly attractive in this video? In a bad-teeth, British sort of way =P

Ooohhh man I am excited.

Gackt is going to star in a Hollywood movie. An actual movie I will most likely be able to see at the cinema. Big screen. Gackt. NYAAAHHHH!! And I feel like I’m being teased, because this movie (Bunraku) is apparently set to screen this year, but I have been given so little! No trailers, or even teaser trailers! A few pictures, which is better than nothing, but still! I’ll explode with anticipation!!

Feast thine eyes on the wonder!!

Gackt is going to star alongside Josh Harnett, which is cool because he’s a pretty big-time actor. (I’ve only seen him in Pearl Harbour) It’s so surreal to think that such a wide audience will be exposed to Gackt… Speaking English no less!

( 人￣ ▽￣ ) Just seeing his name on the movie poster makes my heart leap.

Best review I’ve heard so far, “Yes, there’s a dude just named Gackt in this movie. And he looks like a real ass-kicker.”

Ah, on the subject of movies, I’ve really gotten into Akira lately. I’ve downloaded the soundtrack, and now I’m reading the original manga. If you haven’t seen Akira, there is a piece missing from your life that is otherwise irreplaceable. This film is mind-blowing. And to think, every single frame is drawn by hand, no newfangled CG to be seen here. Now that is art.

Manifest

Yay! I’m officially going to Manifest (Melbourne Anime Festival) next week =D I bought my ticket today.

My friend Rose has lent me her anime school-girl skirt and knee-highs (and will be getting me the tie on Sunday I believe), now I just need to find a white shirt and I’ll be set ;P No, I’m not going to cosplay as a character, she just insisted I dress up, so I took an easy option (◕ ◡ ◕)

Here’s what I have so far:

The skirt’s a little big for me, but that’s fixable, I just held it up with a belt (which I’ll hide under my shirt obviously)

Body-Snatchers

Have you ever met a person you feel is like a carbon copy of you? Or at least, has the same style, likes similar sorts of things? It sounds pretty cool to meet someone who is like a clone of you, but my craziness says otherwise. I like to think I am a one-of-a-kind sort of person, that the way I look and the things I do and like are what define me. But when people start to actually get you confused with another person because you have the same hair, same height and general similarities, that’s when I get concerned. Am I unconsciously imitating this person? Are they imitating me? Am I paranoid for thinking such moronic things? Yeah, I probably am. But I feel as if I actually have to be careful not to look like I am imitating this girl. This is so stupid! I am my own person and she is hers. I shouldn’t feel like I have to double-check myself to make sure I’m being UNIQUE enough. So you know what? Screw that. I don’t care if I look like I’m trying to be somebody else, I’ll do my own thing. It’s stupid of me to even be concerned. After all, any resemblance we have goes no further than appearance. Beneath that, we are totally different people, and that’s good enough for me =)

Back when I lived in Tasmania (yes, it exists, Google it), when I was into emo music, I had an obsession with this song. About 5 years later, give or take a year, I can still see why =) I have alarmingly good taste in music ^^

This clip was filmed in a closed off area of Flinders Street Station (which I never go to because I’m a V-Line kind of gal) in Melbourne (my second home). I really like the name of the band too, since it was obviously derived from “On Horsell Common”, a chapter from “The War of the Worlds” by H.G. Wells. That’s a really good book by the way, one of my personal favourites. For a book written in the 19th century, it’s wildly imaginative and very ahead of its time. As I was typing that I went to search for my tattered, orange Penguin Classics copy =)

I haven’t written for a while. Anyway, I got the new GazettE single~ (well, technically I downloaded it, but whatevuh, I have the songs.) The other two songs, Naraku and Hesitating Means Death, they were WAY better than Shiver, which is a relief because it wasn’t that impressive.. I mean, it was ok, don’t get me wrong! It wasn’t terrible, just not great.

In fact, I’ve downloaded myself quite a few albums (which I plan on physically BUYING sometime in the future, believe me.) Some recent additions include:

I love them all! I’m listening to Vamps right now ( 人￣ ▽￣ )

Ah, in other news, I want to make some rainbow dread falls ☆ I’m gonna make them out of wool and ribbons, and possibly any other fun thing I find along the way :3 I want to wear them for my end of year Muck Up Day at school. Ahh but I won’t tell you what I’ll be dressing as yet~ I’ll get into that when the actual day is a little closer. There’s supposed to be a theme (which hasn’t been decided yet), but as always I think I’ll just disregard it and do whatever I want ^^

Can you tell I’m eager for school to END? (´Д｀)
